Postdoctoral researcher at Centre for Visual Analytics Science and Technology (CVAST). He earned bachelor, master degree (achieved cum laude) and PhD at University of Perugia. His expertise includes software engineering, algorithm design, distributed systems, graph drawing, information visualization.

  • Graph Drawing:
    Graph drawing algorithm design also using a Think-like-a-vertex perspective.
  • Distributed Data Processing:
    Big Data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop) and Graph processing systems (e.g., Giraph).
  • Large Network Visualization:
    Technologies for the visualization of large networks following the aesthetic criteria needed to obtain satisfactory drawings.
  • Visual Analytics:
    Techniques and practices for a powerful and meaningful storytelling.
