We are seeking for a highly motivated PhD candidate in the field of Visual Analytics, Information Visualization, visual Data Mining and Interaction Design in the Laura Bassi Center of Expertise (LBC), Centre for Visual Analytics Science and Technology (CVAST), which is established at the Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems, Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, Austria.

In cooperation with the CSE interest group at Vienna University of Technology, we participated in the 2013 Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program to mentor students in developing open-source software in a productive quality.
