Beyond Google Analytics: Visualization of Web Usage Data

Problem

Web servers keep log files that record all requests for resources. Many analysis tool such as awstats simply show aggregated data (e.g., most popular pages). Google Analytics provides some more sophisticated analysis approaches, yet deeper exploration of web usage data require more interactive visual interfaces.

Aim

Provide a systematic survey of interactive visual interfaces for exploration and analysis of web usage data. Focus on scientific publications.
