Visual Analysis of Spatial Time Series
Problem
Spatial time series, i.e., time series measured at static geographic locations, are a common data type in the environmental sciences. Examples would be air quality sensors in a city, precipitation forecasts, or vehicle counters along roads.
Aim
This data type is not discussed on its own in the visualization literature, unlike, e.g., networks. You could write a literature survey about visual analytics approaches for spatial time series. We could probably also find something for you to implement as part of a project.
