We are excited and proud of our former member Paolo Federico who was promoted to be a visualization expert at Nokia.

As a result of a major restructuring of the Faculty of Informatics, we are announcing that our workgroup has transitioned to the Institute of Visual Computing & Human-Centered Technology, starting with 01.01.2018.

An inspiring article about the past and the future of  Laura Bassi Centres of Excellence in Austria Innovativ 2017 (in German, only).

The Visual Analytics group at TU Wien offers positions in the field of Visualization. The main focus is on Model Building and Visual Analytics, a research area in the Research Cluster Smart Communities and Technologies (Smart CT). Currently, we offer positions for:

• 1 PhD researcher
• 1 PostDoc researcher

The application deadline is: January 26, 2018.

The Austrian newspaper Die Presse wrote about our project DeVisOR - Detection and Visualization of unexploded Ordnance Risks. DeVisOR is concerned with the analysis of historical aerial photos (images) with the overall goal of detecting unexploded WWII bombs.
