  abstract = {<p>This paper is an exercise in bridge building through re-thinking the common methodological foundations of Visual Analytics (VA) from a Digital Humanities (DH) perspective. We introduce the Data-Users-Tasks design triangle and re-purpose it to expose the complexities underlying interdisciplinary DH projects, tying it to undergoing discussion in the literature. We describe our experiences interacting with researchers from various disciplines, including musicology and (art) history, and conclude with the lessons that we learned along the way.</p>
