Uncertainty in Information Visualization

Problem: 

Information Visualization is a valuable approach to the exploration and communication of large abstract data sets. In different domains these data sets may contain an unavoidable amount of uncertainty that needs to be communicated by the visualization. 

Aim: 

A comprehensive description of existing approaches of visualizing uncertainty information of abstract data.
